Two siblings, one obsession with good coffee
Gemina — Latin for "twins" — is our family name and our philosophy. We grew up watching our grandmother measure every cup by eye, taste every batch, and treat the morning ritual as something sacred. That standard never left us.
When we opened Gemina Coffee Shop on East 14th Street, we wanted to create a space that felt like a living room — warm, unhurried, and honest. No pretension, no rush. Just excellent coffee, real food, and the kind of hospitality that makes you want to come back.
We roast on-site every week. We source from farms we visit. We bake before dawn. Not because it's trendy — because it's the only way we know how to do this right.
